The Luna Nascente mountain hut has often been mentioned in articles or films produced by mountain lovers, moreover it can also boast famous mountaineers or climbers among its guests. The "Alpin" German magazine voted Luna Nascente “Mountain Hut of the Month” and this is what it wrote about us both in Italy and abroad.

Even the multi-faceted mountaineer Mauro Corona - renown writer and sculptor of Piné, a mythical protagonist of the mountain lifestyle – spent some time at Luna Nascente. A film shot during his stay at our mountain hut shows Mauro Corona who talks to Siro, accompanied by Luca Maspes, the shooter of the film, during a visit to the Mello valley.

The Luna Nascente mountain hut is very popular amongst families with children. It is easily accessible and immersed in a natural setting of rare beauty. It is located within the Val di Mello Nature Reserve, a little piece of heaven where emerald running waters form truly beautiful alpine lakes. It is listed as having one of the most child-friendly hiking trails in Lombardy, but being easy it could just be considered as a walking path. However, this trail cannot be forgotten because of its setting and as a starting point for more challenging hiking paths.

The beauty of high altitude dining at Luna Nascente mountain hut is that you snow shoe walk through the spectacular nature reserve.
