Chiusa waterfall via Mello water holes

The Chiusa waterfalls, via the Mello creek water holes located after Rasica, is another beautiful one day walk. The first section is identical to the Zocca waterfall walk. You then have to reach Rasica plain following the main path. Here you can find a walking path information board. Following the marked footpath, you will pass a small group of mountain huts and, after crossing the pastures, you will enter a mostly flat forest. Here you will see a large rock. You will then leave the Casera di Pioda track and, following a clear path, turn right toward the creek where you will see several great water holes. You can then walk along the creek or in the nearby forest and pick your favourite spot for a peaceful quick dip or swim. To reach the Chiusa waterfall, you must go back to the Casera di Pioda path. You will follow an often steep zigzag trail through the woods for about twenty minutes. Disregard the Val Torrone track and, on your left, a few meters past a large rock you will see a bridge. After crossing the bridge, you will find a track on your right which goes down through the vegetation. Within five minutes you will reach a stunning water fall and wonderful water holes! The return trip follows the same route you came from. Please use caution when walking on the wet and slippery rocks close to the water!
