Allievi Bonacossa mountain hut

Departing from Luna Nascente mountain hut, follow the path at the bottom of the valley towards Rasica. After a few hundred meters, you will find a sign on your left for Allievi mountain hut. The hut is located in the middle of a beautiful alpine valley where majestic granite peaks provide a dramatic backdrop. The first section uphill is steep and requires a basic level of training for hiking but it will be worthwhile: you will hold the breathtaking scenery in your heart. At half way, past Casera di Zocca, follow the path uphill out of the woods until the Parravicini cross, a great lookout point. The walk continues to a large plateau where you can often find free-range horses. From here, it takes three-quarters of an hour uphill to reach Allievi Bonacossa mountain hut. The hut is also a stop-over on the famous Sentiero Roma. Follow the same path on the way down.
